Seongsu-dong Cafe street

Seongsu-dong, once home to shuttered factories, is experiencing a revival as a fashion hub. In the 1970s, it served as a prominent location for the shoe industry. As industrial activities waned, foot traffic dwindled. However, in the 2010s, the area underwent a metamorphosis into a vibrant district exuding youthful energy and romance.

Former storage warehouses now house cultural complexes hosting cafes and fashion shows. Additionally, the refurbishment of old factories and red brick houses into cafes and restaurants has contributed to the transformation of Seongsu-dong into a cultural space seamlessly blending the past and present.
