Your hiking adventure begins at 05:00 AM, when your guide picks you up from your hotel in Seoul. After approximately a 3-hour drive, you will arrive at Seorakdong, the main entrance to Seoraksan National Park, and begin your hike at around 08:00 AM.

From Seorakdong to Madeungnyeong Pass, where the famous Dinosaur Ridge (Gongnyong Ridge) begins, the trail covers approximately 6.5 km. Much of this section is a steady uphill climb over stone steps, rocky paths, and forest trails, rewarding hikers with increasingly spectacular views of the surrounding granite peaks.

The Dinosaur Ridge itself stretches for about 5 km and is considered one of the most challenging and rewarding ridge hikes in Korea. Although the distance is relatively short, it typically takes 4–5 hours to complete due to its continuous ascents and descents over rugged granite ridges. Several sections require the use of fixed ropes and metal handrails, but the trail is well maintained and carefully managed by the national park, making it safe for experienced hikers with good fitness.

Throughout the ridge, you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Seoraksan's dramatic granite peaks, deep valleys, and unique rock formations. On clear days, the scenery is widely regarded as some of the finest mountain landscapes in Korea.

After crossing Dinosaur Ridge, you will descend via the Yangpok Shelter and continue through the beautiful Cheonbuldong Valley. This scenic descent follows crystal-clear streams, impressive granite cliffs, and several picturesque waterfalls before returning to the Seorakdong Park entrance, providing a perfect finale to one of Korea's most iconic hiking adventures.
