If you are a fan of Korean dramas and especially historical ones - you might notice some of the buildings and places are quite familiar with. Korean Folk Village has been used as a filming spot for various historical dramas such as 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal', 'The Moon That Embraces The Sun' and also  'Arang and the Magistrate' were filmed there. It's a nice experience to see the different types of houses from peasant, farmer and nobleman and magistrate office in the past. There are various performances for tourists and locals.

Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon City represents the latest features of fortification in Korea. In 1997, Hwaseong Fortress was designated as a world heritage site which is appreciated for its oriental magnificence and western splendor and practicality. UNESCO cited its unique blend of eastern and western architectural styles.

Meet your guide in the morning, move to Youngin an hour's drive from downtown Seoul. You will visit  Korean folk village first.  Fully replicating the life of a Korean village - complete with a marketplace, farm animals, traditional performances, games as well as a museum - It's a nice experience to see the different types of houses from peasant, farmer and nobleman and magistrate office in the past.  This place is a one-stop place to gain a better understanding of Korea's history and culture.

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress

You may have lunch at folk village open air food court. After having lunch,  You will head onward to Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, where an impressive structure from the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) and the official fortress of Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do.  It was designated a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. The fortress (constructed from 1794 to 1796) was built as a display of the King’s filial piety towards his father Jangheonseja and to build a new pioneer city with its own economic power. The fortress wall stretches for a total of 5.52km and has a great variety of military facilities that are hard to find anywhere else. 

On arrival, follow your guide on a tour of the site and see the fortress highlights, beautiful scenery.

Travel back to Seoul, drop you off where you want.
