What truly completed Seongsu’s charm was the creation of Seoul Forest, often called the “Central Park of Seoul.” Opened in 2005, this large green park brought nature back into the heart of the city. With its walking trails, ponds, deer garden, and art installations, Seoul Forest became the perfect balance to the district’s industrial character.

Around the park, new residential buildings, design studios, and cafés began to appear — blending nature and creativity in a uniquely Seoul-style way.
